The Michigan Secretary of State's office has cut a deal to where select Meijer stores will have license plate tab and registration renewal self-service stations. Those self service stations should start appearing in a matter of weeks.

Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson says, yes, the old Secretary of State's kiosks were bad and hard to use and understand, but trust her, this time, they will be better.

Even though, most people can transact most of their business with the Michigan Secretary of State's office via the computer now, still there are things that are best done live, and some people are just more comfortable doing it that way, anyhow. But not this Monday. Michigan Secretary of State's offices will be closed, in honor of Veteran's Day, November 11th.

Sometimes you can't get over to the Secretary of State's offices to take care of business. So, on Saturday, August 24th, the Secretary of State Mobile Office will be at the Eastwood Community Block Party in Kalamazoo offering up their services.

The Michigan Secretary of State's office currently on Capital Ave SW is moving to the Mingles Creek Plaza. The project should take about a week, so it will be closed from March 25-29.

As MLive reports, late Friday afternoon, a Federal Court of Appeals voted 2-1 to reverse Monday's decision by a Federal court to allow selfies in Michigan's voting booths.
