Two men in Michigan took it upon themselves to make a trek from Lake Michigan to Lake Huron on nothing but paddle boards.

No ring a fire but Michigan's view of the June 10, 2021, solar eclipse did not disappoint!

There was a time where for five years the water never actually drained, however, currently there is no water in the lake. This is the first time the lake has been dry since 2015.

"We didn't expect to find this — it was really just amazing," said Andrea Pierce, a 56-year-old Ypsilanti resident and citizen of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, who was one of four women who drove the project to inspect the Straits bottom.

Michigan borders some of the largest inland bodies of water and the Great Lakes are capable of producing storms that are the equivalent of tropical storms and hurricanes as was the case in September of 1996.
