Borgess Run

This is not the news the community wanted to hear...

More than ever, the Borgess Run For The Health Of It is on the move, for 2020. Race day for the longtime running event is moving to Western Michigan University campus, and the course will now wind through parts of Portage.

Right near the Nazareth campus are these sign of encouragement for runners participating in the Borgess Run on Sunday...they made me laugh. Hopefully they will make you and the runners laugh, too.

Kalamazoo kids, it is time for the Meijer Kids Fun Run at Borgess

It may be a little late to start training for the Kalamazoo Marathon, but it's not too late to volunteer! From pre-race help to registration, running the Tent City to clean up, the Borgess Run needs more than 1,500 volunteers to be successful. Sign up solo or get a group together and be a part of this year's festivities (and snag a free t-shirt as a thank you!).

Seeing the hundreds of families come out to enjoy a little exercise, was a thrill!

The website BestThingsMI.com has name the Kalamazoo Marathon the road race in Michigan. The Marathon also picked up two other accolades recently, too.

This Sunday's Borgess Marathon and events have grown into a major event, and that growth means some traffic congestion and requires some creative thinking to navigate through parts of Kalamazoo on Sunday morning.

This is Borgess Run Weekend. Events start on Friday evening, and culminate with the running events this Sunday, May 8th.
