I always thought it was a "zoo for airplanes," but even that was wrong.

Located outside of Kalamazoo, Michigan is the Smithsonian-affiliated aerospace and science museum. Here's how the Air Zoo got its name.

James Alton McDivitt lived a full and long life and today is celebrated, as he sadly passed away at the age of 93. James was a test pilot, United States Air Force pilot, aeronautical engineer, and NASA astronaut who flew in the Gemini and Apollo programs and grew up in Kalamazoo.

Hangar 67 has a listing for a 1964 Beechcraft Baron 95-B55 for $144,500. The cool thing about this plane is it actually spent a decade on display inside of the Air Zoo in Portage.

In the recent years, with the evolution of Covid and economy, we have tried to find ways as a country to help each other. The next time you want to go to a museum, zoo, or something similar, check and see if you get free or discounted admission.
