Is it too early to start putting up your annual Christmas lights? It's all a matter of opinion.

I personally feel that now is the time to start decorating your home with lots of colorful Christmas lights and ornaments. There's no rule about when and where you can hang Christmas lights.

The best reason I can come up with is because our temperatures lately have been very user friendly. When you have temperatures in the upper 50's and into the 60's, why wait and freeze your butt off.

You could actually decorate your home this weekend, and then turn on your light display the day after Thanksgiving. Sounds like a great plan to me.

It's a fact that most Michiganders like to wait at least the second or third week of November. I say be proactive and get it done a.s.a.p.

Driving into work the last couple of days, I've actually seen two houses decorated with Christmas lights and they both look fabulous.

The way I see it, there's a lot of negativity going on in our world today. So why not brighten up someone's day by putting up an outstanding display of Christmas lights.

They say that people who decorate early for the holidays are seen as more personable and it's a way to reconnect with your childhood too.
