Michigan Ranks Eighth For Surviving A Zombie Apocalypse
Back when the remake of Dawn of the Dead and the hit TV series, The Walking Dead, came out, there was a large interest in concern for a zombie apocalypse. People started to legitimately believe that it was a possible thing we could be faced with in the future.
If a zombie apocalypse did break out across the world, how safe would it be for us to stay in Michigan? Do you feel like we could be protected, or do you feel like our state would pose more risks to being exposed?

It turns out one company did the research, and Michigan is one of the top 10 safest states to be in if a zombie apocalypse did break out in the United States.
Although Michigan does land in the top 10, Alaska takes the top spot as the safest state to be in during a zombie apocalypse:
If a zombie apocalypse hit the U.S., Alaska would be the safest refuge. With just one person per square mile, its vast open space offers a clear advantage in avoiding infection. Alaska also leads in survival infrastructure, with the highest number of airports (78.5 per 100,000 people), ideal for both escape and supply access. Add a strong military presence and abundant freshwater (14.2%), and Alaska places with a score of 7.89 out of 10.
How Safe Is Michigan In A Zombie Apocalypse?
According to Canada Casino, Michigan is the 8th safest state to survive in, which may be attributed to the amount of space our state is surrounded by water and the number of gun stores we have.
