We’re finally starting to get to the part of the year where the winter weather will be behind us, and we will be able to start focusing on the warmth of spring and the return of some color to the state of Michigan.

Unfortunately, we are still in that weird suite zone between winter and spring where every once in a while winter weather will come out of nowhere and put a damper on our hopes that the snow is all behind us.

Unfortunately, we have yet another weather system that seems to be moving in on the lower peninsula, which could see 2 to 4 inches of snow hitting us on Wednesday, April 9.

Michigan Storm Chasers are currently tracking a weather system, which could bring up to 4 inches of snow and a wintry mix of weather to most of the lower Peninsula, as they described on their Facebook page:

Snow

There is a very fine line between all rain and all snow that will set up somewhere along the I-96 corridor by Wednesday night. This difference in 25 miles north or south could be the difference between a half inch of rain, and 2-4" of snow. Narrowing down totals will come in the next 48 hours.

Rain/ Snow

Totals will be between 0.25-0.45" for all locations south of I-96. A couple locations will likely exceed 0.5". Some of this rain will fall as snow, so totals will be skewed in spots.

We will have to keep an eye on the weather patterns as they take shape over the next day to see how accurate they end up being.
