Did The Michigan Big Boy Statue Graveyard Get Moved To Ohio?

When it comes to iconic figures for Michigan-based food chains, the Little Caesars guy is one of the most well-known, as well as the classic Big Boy statue. Even though Big Boy began as Bob’s Pantry back in 1936 in Glendale, California it eventually was purchased by Elias Brothers in 1987 from Marriott Corporation and moved the headquarters to Warren, Michigan.

Today the headquarters remain in Southfield and the big boy statue is becoming one of the most iconic figures. But there was lore, about a place in the Upper Peninsula where there was an entire graveyard of Big Boy statues, which was sought out by many travelers.

The funny thing was is the graveyard was legitimate, and as late as 2008 photos have surfaced showing the former graveyard. Since then it has been dismantled, and the statues were removed, thus ending the legend of the big boy graveyard, or so we thought.

Recently an Ohio news affiliate from Cincinnati shared photos, showing that there are in fact a ton of big figures that are locked behind defense, claiming they now have a big boy graveyard.

The iconic Big Boy statues, known for their friendly smiles and signature burgers, are finding themselves in an uncertain situation. These statues, which once welcomed diners, are now confined to a gated area, dubbed the "Big Boy Graveyard."

Is it possible that these are some of the Big Boys that were located in Michigan’s graveyard? Most of them seem to look a little different than the ones we’ve seen in the past, but it is interesting that there may be a chance the graveyard could return, for the right price.
