Former Detroit Lions running back Barry Sanders is arguably one of the greatest players in the postion of alltime. Sanders led the NFL in rushing yards during four seasons and scored the most touchdowns in one season. He unexpepectedly retired from football just short of breaking the all-time rushing record held by Walter Payton.

In all my years of watching the Detroit Lions, the era of Barry Sanders has been the most exciting games to watch. Sanders had great vision and ability to make players think they got him when infact they are nowhere close to catching him. Sanders made a lot of elite defencemen look like rookies often leaving players shaking their heads at his elusive moves and speed.
