I think at this point, I'm just going to learn how to grow all of my own ingredients and purchase some live animals so that I can avoid all of the products on the shelves. Every single time we look up there is another recall out for a food item that could cause danger to anyone who consumes it. It's exhausting but I am thankful for the work of the FDA who ensures the products we buy are safe.

There have already been recalls in the beginning of 2025 that are telling people all over the country to be wary of the chocolate, Lay's potato chips, and some of the vehicles we are driving. Although these recalls are not specific to us here in the Mitten state, it does make our favorite products harder to find in Michigan.

Another recall is out, this time, you're taking in a look inside of your fridge and picking up your gallon of milk. Obviously, this can be a scary recall as we know that dairy products can cause severe illness, and the allergic reactions can be fatal. The FDA has issued a recall on one specific brand of whole milk.

Thousands of cases of Horizon Organic Dairy Whole Milk are being recalled from the shelves for the potential of early spoilage. The dairy producer is recalling 19,688 cases of its 8-ounce 12-pack of Horizon Organic Aseptic Plain Whole Milk due to heat damage during processing, which may cause the product to spoil early.

This was a voluntary recall from Horizon Organic Dairy, but as of January 17th, the FDA did follow suit and issue a Class II recall on their whole milk product. The UPC codes for the product are 3663207113 for the 12-packs and 3663207127 for single units, and the milk has sell-by dates of March 3, 4, 6, and March 7, 2025.

Anyone with questions should reach out the Horizon Organic Dairy.
