The Franke Center Children’s Theater is pleased to announce the cast for Honk! Jr.
The Franke Center Children’s Theater is delighted to announce the cast for its upcoming production of Honk! Jr. performing October 10, 11, 12 and 13. This award-winning musical adaptation of the beloved fable The Ugly Ducklingis a heartwarming celebration of what makes us special. The cast is made up from 65 kindergarten through fifth graders.
Ugly looks quite a bit different from his darling duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and point this out, despite his mother’s protective flapping. Feeling rather foul about himself, the little fowl finds himself on an adventure of self-discovery, all the while unknowingly outwitting a very hungry cat. Along the way, Ugly meets a whole flock of unique characters and finds out being different is not a bad thing to be.
Director, Sarah Noah says, “I am very excited to work with this group. We are only a few days into rehearsals and already they have some lines and songs memorized. The hard work, dedication, and energy this group brings every day is impressive. We can’t wait to share this hilarious, heartwarming story with you.”
