Western Michigan University Athletic Director Kathy Beauregard tweeted late Friday evening that she has named a new leader for the football program at WMU.

It'll be a homecoming for former Bronco QB Tim Lester. Lester played for Western from 1996-99. He's coached, first high school, then college since then, including two head coaching jobs at Division 2 and 3 schools. He returned to WMU from 2004-2005 as quarterbacks coach. At his last two stops, he was offensive coordinator at Syracuse and last season, quarterbacks coach at Purdue. Lester is in the Bronco Hall of Fame.

Lester will officially be introduced at a Saturday morning press conference.
