WMU Named Michigan’s Most Affordable University

On the day that Dr. Edward Montgomery moved into the president's office at WMU, the school has been named the most affordable school in Michigan.Business Insider, which has over 70 million viewers, released a list of the most affordable schools by state. Some were state schools ('Bama, UConn, etc), a couple were Big Ten schools (Nebraska, Wisconsin), but when it came to Michigan, there was Western Michigan University.

The criteria used were resident tuition data for the 2016-17 academic year and factored each school's published tuition and required fees, as well as room and board.
