A winter storm watch has been issued for Kalamazoo and several more Michigan counties.

According to The Weather Channel, the watch is in effect from 1 a.m. Saturday until 7 a.m. Sunday.  Five to eight inches are expected, with the heaviest snowfall occurring late Saturday morning through Saturday afternoon.

Kalamazoo, Allegan, Barry, Calhoun and Van Buren are among 23 Michigan counties included in the watch issued by the weather service office in Grand Rapids. Forecasters said hazardous travel conditions are expected Saturday and Sunday. Make sure you're prepared for slippery conditions, slide offs, and event cancellations.
