I took the leap into marriage over the weekend!

It's a big step for me because I was always the guy people thought would never get married. But as most people know, things change. I had planned the engagement for a while now. I didn't want to go too flashy like some of the videos you see on YouTube. I really wanted to keep it classic and meaningful. So, I proposed at the same place that we met one year ago exactly!

Last Friday, Kaysie and I were getting all dressed up for my work's Townsquare Media holiday party, and I said, "We have to stop by Dunkin' Donuts on Westnedge Avenue and Whites Road before we go."

The reason I had us stop by Dunkin' is because that's where we met exactly one year ago Friday during the fundraiser Operation Scribble! Kaysie was working at Dunkin', and Krista and I were broadcasting for KFR for 12 hours strait.

What Kaysie didn't know was that Kayla, our digital managing editor, was there and inconspicuously waiting to take pictures and video!

I waited until we were almost ready to leave Dunkin' when I just dropped down to one knee and asked, "Will you marry me?"

Kaysie thought I was joking — because believe it or not the night before she said, "You better not pop the question at Dunkin'!" (She used to practically live there when she worked there.)

I was not joking. Here are the pics from Friday night.
