Who Has Time To Mow! Here’s A Great Alternative

An elderly Kansas City woman was tired of mowing her lawn so she decided to get rid of her of her grass – by covering it up with 80 tons of sand.

Georgianna Reid turned the front yard of her Kansas City home into a beach and it’s now known throughout the area as the sandbox.

“Now being over 60, I’ve decided that I’ve owned the house for 33 years and that I wasn’t going to mow anymore or water,” Reid told KCTV 5.

Not all of Reid’s neighbors are enthralled with the idea of playing in the sandbox and some of them have filed complaints with the city. Read On!
