When I was a kid there was always "that" neighborhood that everyone drove through because they had the best Christmas lights.  Then when I got older, there was a street we called Christmas Lane because everyone went to town on lights and decorations.  They even got the street renamed Christmas Lane by the city.  The point was we always looked forward to getting in the car and checking it out.

Fortunately, in our area, we have several places that put on a show; or at least a display.  Out friends at mlive.com have informed us that first and foremost is Bronson Park and the famous Candy Cane Lane this Friday starting at 5pm with the lights, the refreshments and even Santa.  Then next weekend, Portage has their annual tree lighting ceremony at the City Centre with carolers and a horse-drawn carriage carrying Santa and Mrs. Claus down the Portage Creek Bicentennial Park Trail to Celery Flats Historical Area for the traditional holiday celebration.  Get more details on events and times by clicking HERE.
