A Kalamazoo favorite, Theo and Stacy's on Portage, is no more. They closed their doors last night. Do not fear; the other two locations, downtown Kalamazoo and Westnedge, will remain open, according to a post on the Theo and Stacy's website:

...As we move forward, we would like to share with you that our Downtown and Westnedge locations are planning exciting changes to their menus and décor. Stacy is working hard to develop menus that will entice diners by offering new healthier options while still keeping your longtime favorites.

So what is to become of the restaurant on Portage? It was purchased by OnStaff USA Operations Manager Brandon Jeannot in partnership with OnStaff USA. He plans to open a restaurant that, according to an MLive article, will feature "family favorite" foods. Jeannot said, quote, "It's always been kind of my dream to do a very similar restaurant as what Theo and Stacy's has done - family friendly dining." "Traveler's Cafe and Pub" will be open seven days a week starting January 7th.

Good luck, Brandon on your endeavor, and put your feet up, Stacy; you've earned a rest.
