WHAT????? Quisp Named Best Cereal Of All-Time? No!

A tough year has just gotten tougher. MrBreakfast.com has an on-going vote for the greatest breakfast cereal of all time and Quisp!, yes, Quisp is the leading vote getter.

But maybe your screaming at your browser like I did, and asking where are my favorites? Well, in my case, Cheerios is are #13, though its rich cousin, Honey Nut Cheerios in the top 4. Kellogg's Corn Flakes is #12.  Raisin Bran is only #32. And my all-time favorite, Cocoa Krispies is only #60. What is wrong with you, cereal people?

Now, to keep this in perspective, while over half a million votes have been cast, only 500 votes separate #10 and #1. And if, 2600 of people reading this (yes, I'm looking at you) were to vote for Cocoa Krispies, then the earth would be back in it's proper rotation.

And remember, Quaker Oats is not from Battle Creek. Kellogg's is. They make Cocoa Krispies and #2 Frosted Flakes. So, there's also the matter of civic pride. Are we going to let Ben Franklin beat out Tony the Tiger? I don't think so, either.

BTW, a bit of trivia regarding the Quisp commercial. It's was produced by Jay Ward Productions, the same folks who produced the Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle. You can clearly hear the voices of cartoon voice-over superstars Daws Butler, Bill Scott (Bullwinkle) and William Conrad, who starred in several dramas.
