I ask myself the question year after year as the Lions continue to disappoint.  After their brutal start to this season, What team would you cheer for if it wasn't the Lions?

I personally am not the biggest NFL fan.  I would rather watch hockey or even College games before the NFL but I will watch games most weeks.  It is a big change from when I was younger where I would  use games as a way to fall asleep.   I did this during my time working overnights in the early 2000's.

I have always been a Lions fan and it is hard to live in Michigan and not be.  I know there are a lot of Chicago Bears fans around our area but I just don't see myself rooting for them.   If it wasn't the Lions I would probably be a Packers fan.

My recent visit to Lambeau Field  impressed me on how great a team can be.  A legendary stadium, many legendary players and of course they have won titles.    It was interesting to see a team with the history that the Packers have.   You can sense the greatness just walking around the stadium.

The Lions have had legendary players but Ford Field has no history and of course the Lions have never played in a Super Bowl.

I could be a Packers fan but I am a Lions fan and will continue to be though it is interesting to wonder how it would be if I was not a fan of the team.

What do you think?  What team would you cheer for if you weren't a Lions fan?
