Western Michigan University was filled with love this Saturday, breaking Guinness world records and winning football games!

According to Mlive.com 1,201 couples came to renew there wedding vows at Heritage Hall on East Campus this past Saturday.

"A Guiness World Record official on site certified the new world record — breaking the previous feat of 1,087 couples renewing their vows at Miami University in Ohio in 2009."

People came from all over the U.S., some from Canada and even Japan. One couple was even from the class of 1943!

The event was put on by the University in celebration of their annual Homecoming game, and hosted to the couples who took part to a tailgate.

Congratulations to all the couples, it really was a beautiful event!
