Are we a generation of alcoholics?

According to USA Today, new research from the nonprofit Wine Market Council reveals Millennials (ages 21 to 38 in this study) drank 42% of all wine in the U.S. last year.

That's more than any other generation, and comes out to 160 million cases of wine…so, an average of two cases per person. Also, 30% of "frequent drinkers," or those who drink several times a week, were millennials, and they (we) downed 3 glasses of wine per sitting (more than any other generation.)

Millennials also aren't cheap when it comes to wine, 17% spent $20 for a bottle of wine in the past month, and that number drops to just 10 percent among all age groups.
