Water Main Breaks Lead To Boil Orders For Oakwood and Bronson Blvd. Areas

The City of Kalamazoo earlier on Sunday issued two Boil Orders; one for an area on both sides of Bronson Blvd from Par 4 Road to the north to Parker Avenue to the south.  The second is an area on the west side of Oakland Drive from Whites Road to the north to Parkview to the south.

The city's release says "Initial sampling results will be available within 24 hours of its collection and the final set within 48 hours. It is expected that the advisory will be lifted within 72 hours.

"Municipal water customers in the affected area may boil their tap water for 2 minutes prior to use for drinking.  No special precautionary measures are necessary for water used for personal hygiene."
