Tragic News For Morgan Freeman

Morgan Freeman's granddaughter was fatally stabbed yesterday morning by her BOYFRIEND in New York City.

The 30-year-old killer was heard screaming things that sounded like an exorcism attempt and, according to the "New York Daily News", the man arrested for the murder was her boyfriend. One of the witnesses heard, quote, "Get out devils! I cast you out Devils in the name of Jesus Christ!  I cast you out!"

A lot of people are referring to E'Dena as Morgan's step-granddaughter, because she's the granddaughter of his first wife.  But Morgan adopted her mother, Deena, so even though they weren't related by blood it's still a huge emotional loss for him. He released a statement saying, quote, "The world will never know her artistry and talent, and how much she had to offer...Her star will continue to shine bright in our hearts, thoughts and prayers.  May she rest in peace."
