H.S. Athlete of the Week From Portage Central

Congratulations to this week's 103.3 KFR/Meijer High School Athlete of the Week, Malak Ghazal, a senior at Portage Central, and on the swim team.

Some of Ghazal's credits include: Four-year all-conference; four-year states; senior team leader and Most Valuable Swimmer/motivator; four-year end-of-swim-season video creator/producer for swim team memories-recognition; Honors-PC IB Program; USA Club Swimming seven years; three year Portage Invite Volunteer; PCHS Gardening Club; PCHS Art Murial; People to People Student Ambassador two years; and nominated mentor and peer leader for 2015 for next P2P study abroad.

If that isn't enough, she's "always loved and respected by teachers and peers, a positive energy in any environment, a positive role-model to all school peers, respecting everyone's unique & individual uniqueness," according to Malak's mother, Lina Dauo, who nominated her.
