This Picture Taken At A Subway In Ann Arbor Will Make You Ill

Wait til you see what this fast food worker did on the job.  Ick!

Tara Renee posted a picture on facebook last Saturday of an employee putting their bare feet up near a food prep station at the Subway on State Street in Ann Arbor.  As I write this, that post has over 10,000 shares.

According to WXYZ.com,

Subway did respond to one concerned customer on Facebook promising to investigate. When Action News arrived at the location Monday, the same worker was back on the job, slinging subs and denying something was ever afoot.

I guess if the employee doesn't acknowledge it, she can't put her foot in her mouth.  However, Subway Business Development Agent Kip Klopfenstein stepped up to released this statement:

The behavior in this photo is inconsistent with the high standards Subway franchise owners follow. Their top priorities include food safety and cleanliness and this is unacceptable. My team is working with the franchise owners.

I don't put my feet near my food.  I certainly don't want a stranger's bare feet near my sandwich meat.
