One of the most convenient features of Kalamazoo is that if you need anything, it's most likely within 5 miles of you. Fast food places, restaurants, auto repair shops, tire shops, grocery stores, laundromats, gas stations, salons, and barbers. If you name any kind of business I can probably tell you where to find one within 10 minutes of you.

But I did notice one company that I love out of all the different varieties of businesses in the area that does not exist in or nearby the area of Kalamazoo/Comstock. In fact, I did a search to find the nearest location from the station and it turns out I would have to drive 37.48 miles to Sturgis to visit one. What store is that?

Kroger. The Kroger Company, or simply Kroger, is a grocery and retailing company that was founded by Bernard Kroger in 1883 in Cincinnati, Ohio. It's also one of the best places to shop for groceries. A lot of people choose Kroger for their shopping because of the special Kroger member prices and the fact they carry certain brands you can't get anywhere else.

Don't get me wrong. There are a lot of things I prefer to buy at Aldi, other things that only Meijer can offer me, and then sometimes it's super convenient to pick something up for cheap at Walmart. But I like to have that variety in my life. Kalamazoo needs a Kroger and I'm gonna try to be on the hunt to get one in our city.
