The WKFR Silent Auction Gift Basket For ‘We Are Kalamazoo’ K-Wings Event

Last year the K-Wings event 'We Are Kalamazoo' raised over $45,000 and this year we here at KFR wanted to help out!

Tess Taylor and I are huge fans of home projects! Add that to our passion to help our community in positive ways, well, you now have a gift basket on your hands!

After having the pleasure of interviewing the director of sales for the Kalamazoo Wings, Toni Daniels, we received the green light to make a basket for the silent auction!

Two great friends of the Morning Mayhem donated items for the basket...

• Design One Salon Spa donated a $100 gift certificate
• Katie Timber from SPCA donated a bottle of wine

Then Tess and I took it form there. We filled the basket with two DIY projects (wine glasses and bottles), and lovely little goodies.

It is something small, but it felt good to know that in maybe in someway our basket could help out.

Proceeds from 'We Are Kalamazoo' will go not only to the families of the victims but too...

• 2/20 Fund  - Helping those affected from the February 20th mass shooting in Kalamazoo
• Tyler Smith Scholarship - An annual scholarship in honor of shooting victim Tyler Smith
• Crisis Fund - An active program that collects donations to be allocated to families affected by a tragedy
