The Take 10 Kalamazoo Challenge!

This is pretty cool. The concept of the "Take 10 Kalamazoo" challenge" is that everyone in the community takes just a few minutes to help make our city of Kalamazoo more beautiful! We really do have a beautiful downtown. If you don't believe me, take a quick trip to South Bend, Ind. and compare.

When we have visitors from out of town come in, the first place we want to take them is downtown, so of course we are going to want to make it look as beautiful as possible.

That is what the #take10kzoo challenge is about. While you're downtown, just take 10 minutes to look around and see if there is any trash on the ground, weeds sticking up that need to be pulled — that kind of thing. Then snap a pic of yourself doing something to make downtown Kalamazoo look beautiful and add the hashtag #take10kzoo to be entered into a drawing to win $10 in Downtown Dollars every week in July!

Let's keep our city looking great! Oh, and maybe come August I'll do the "Take 10 Will's Yard Challenge!" So I can get my yard to not look like a dirt hole!
