I'm not even sure I can tell you what logo we're talking about, because the NFL could sue our pants off. But, you know that championship game the NFL stages in early February? The one the Lions have never played in?

Well, the next one is the 50th one. And the tradition has always been to use Roman numerals next to the name of the big game. The Roman numeral for 50 is L. But that didn't look pretty enough, so they used "50" in the logo. They claim they'll go back to Roman numerals for the 51st game (LI), but this is simply the dumbing down of America. Knowing simple Latin numbers isn't that hard.
