J.M Smucker Company has voluntary recalled several of it's canned cat food.

According to WWMT.com...

"The company J.M. Smucker Company, which makes 9Lives, EverPet, and Special Kitty cat food is recalling 20 different brands of cat food due to being low in an essential vitamin.

The J.M. Smucker Company announced the recall on Tuesday after their Quality Assurance found the affected canned cat foods were low in thiamine (Vitamin B1), which is essential to a cat's health."

When a Cat has a thiamine deficiency it effects them in a gastrointestinal or neurological manner.

  • Salivation
  • Vomiting
  • Weight Loss

  • Wobbly Walking
  • Circling
  • Falling
  • Seizures

The food was sold in stores from December 20th 2016 through January 3rd 2017. Luckily, no reports of illness have occurred, but you don't want to take a chance.
