The 90′s Local Music Scene Is Back For One Night Only

I don’t know if any of us realized just how good the local music scene in Kalamazoo was back in the 90′s. Lots of local venues hosting countless talented acts. Two of the best were Domestic Problems and Knee Deep Shag. They’ll both be performing Thursday night at Taste (and Brew) of Kalamazoo at Arcadia Creek Festival Site.

My son Michael joked we ought to call Barry Ross from the Kalamazoo Symphony. About 15 years ago, we had a couple of the DP guys in studio, and due to a scheduling mixup, he was in studio too. With hardly any preparation, he played his “fiddle” on “Where” and both my kids and I think that’s the definitive version of that great song.
