Spencer Powell Heart Transplant Update

An update on Spencer's condition as he fights to recover from his recent heart transplant.

I've been following his progress on Facebook and here is the latest:

• Spencer has been in the ICU for the past two weeks
• Doctors have been trying to keep his new heart at a healthy rhythm as it had been racing for a few days, but got it back in rhythm.
• Spencer has developed some anitbodies from the donor heart and his body is in fight mode.  In other words, his body is trying to reject the new heart.
• Good news is, they've got him on specific IV meds to wash out the antibodies.

Prayers for Spencer and his family!  He is in good spirits and we are hoping for a speedy recovery.
