So many things to do in Michigan, and now that summer is here we will be doing a lot of fun stuff outdoors. We have been talking about all the great concerts and fests coming to Michigan, but we do need some things to do on rainy days, or days that are simply too hot to stay outdoors too long.  I love to go to a movie or two in the summer to escape the heat and let's not forget about our Museums in Mid Michigan.

Museums are an awesome way to enjoy art, refresh our memories, or teach our kids about history, and a great way to mix up your summer fun.  Fox47news.com reminds us that mid-Michigan has some fun ones!

Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum
The Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University is a great place to take the whole family. It has over 10,000 sculptures, paintings, and conceptual pieces that will amaze you and get your kids to ask questions. The museum is free and open Friday through Sunday from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. They do encourage folks to reserve tickets online

R.E Olds Transportation Museum

I love cars and history. If you do too this is a must-visit. I have been meaning to go since I moved here almost a year ago. The R.E Olds Transportation Museum has been around since 1981. It is open to all. General admission is $10 for adults and $7.50 for students and seniors. Check this out they are raffling off a 1976 Olds Mobile Cutlass.  My brother had one of these and they ride amazing. It's a fundraiser for the museum and the drawing will be in November. They are also getting ready for the 28th annual Car Capital Auto Show in July.

A couple of great ideas for your summer fun, enjoy.
