Job cuts will be coming to the Post Consumer Brands production facility here in Battle Creek.

The Battle Creek Enquirer reports that on Tuesday, Post announced that they would be moving some production from the Battle Creek factory, to other Post operations sometime in 2017.

The exact number of jobs that will be lost is difficult to calculate at this time, as the cereal company claims the majority of lost positions will be due to retirement and turnover.

This announcement by Post comes just about a month after TreeHouse Foods in Battle Creek announced that they would be cutting their workforce by over 60%. TreeHouse operates out of the former Ralston Plant on Dickman Rd.
