It's deja vu all over again. For the second year in a row, Bell's Brewing topped Zymurgy's Top ranked beer and top brewery categories for 2018Bell's Two Hearted Ale bested Russian River's Pliny the Elder again this year for top ranked beer, with Bell's Hopslam Ale coming in fourth in the survey of readers/consumers.

Grand Rapids' Founders Brewing placed four beers in the top 10, led by Canadian Breakfast Stout and Kentucky Breakfast Stout (both tying for 5th place with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale), Breakfast Stout (9th) and All-Day IPA (tied for 10th)

The top 10 was dominated by Michigan and California brewers, along with Three Floyds' Zombie Dust from Munster, Indiana, Juicy Bits from WeldWerks of Greeley, Colorado.

103.3 KFR's Rookie Beer of the Year, M-43 from Old Nation Brewing in Wiliamston debuted tied at 27th.

“As brewers, the members of American Homebrewers Association can discern the subtle differences between a good beer and an outstanding beer,” said Gary Glass, director, American Homebrewers Association. “Zymurgy’s Best Beers in America survey showcases which commercial beers are truly the best of the best out there, and all the breweries who made the list should be proud.”

In the top brewery rankings, Bell's finished on top again, followed by Founders, Russian River and Sierra Nevada.
