It's official. President Andrew Jackson has been fired as the face of the $20 bill, and will be replaced by humanitarian Harriet Tubman. Due to his current success on Broadway, Alexander Hamilton stays on the $10 bill.

Tubman was an African-American abolitionist, humanitarian, and Union Spy during the Civil War. Other candidates who received considerable attention included former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt; civil rights icon Rosa Parks; suffragist Elizabeth Cady Stanton; and Wilma Mankiller, the first woman to serve as chief of the Cherokee Nation.

Jackson was the 7th President of the United States. Hamilton before becoming a Broadway phenomenon, was the first Secretary of Treasury.

ABC News reports Lin-Manuel Miranda, who last week won the Pulitzer Prize for the "Hamilton":musical, put pressure on current Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew to keep Hamilton on the front of the $10 bill.
