I am glad to be back in the Zoo but I had a great time traveling back to Ohio for the Holidays.

I grew up in Ohio a small town just outside of Columbus and I travel home for Christmas each year.  I got to see everyone I wanted to see and it was great catching up with old friends.  My family is like the Kardashians, there's a new one born every minute trying to take over the world.

Besides catching up with friends and family, my favorite part of the trip was dinner with my grandparents.  My grandpa's name is Kenny but his nickname is Gabby because he is always the life of the party.  He has lived in my hometown since he was a kid and knows EVERYONE in town, no joke.

We went to dinner at Olive Garden and he messed with our server the entire time.  He asked her questions like, "What's your last name?  I may know your family.  What is the middle name of your grandfather's second cousin twice removed?" - That was an over exaggeration but you get it.  When the bill came, he played the grandpa card and asked the server to give the check to someone else.

He ran into a man he knows and started telling him my sister and I's life story. "Tess is a radio DJ up in Kalamazoo and Katie is studying to be a nurse practitioner.  She's the one who's going to wipe our butts someday." :P

It was great to be home but I'm glad to be back in Kalamazoo.
