Michigan has its fair share of amazing cities. You'd really have to go down the list when it comes to all the diverse architecture, landmarks, eateries, breweries and rich history that our state is full of. But according to Niche.com, one of Michigan's cities topped their list as " 2017 Best Cities To Live In America."

Topping their list this year was Ann Arbor, home of the University of Michigan. The data was based on city data from the U.S. Census, FBI, BLS CDC "and other sources." Niche.com released a statement saying:

These new rankings explore 228 cities and over 15,000 towns and neighborhoods to find the best places to live in the U.S. based on crime, public schools, cost of living, job opportunities, local amenities, and more. Data used in this ranking was pulled directly from the U.S. Census, FBI, BLS, and CDC, as well as millions of reviews from residents.

Although Kalamazoo and Battle Creek were not listed in the top 228 cities, Niche.com lists Kalamazoo with an A- rating and Battle Creek with a B+ rating. These rankings are determined by grading the cities for what they offer in public schools, crime & safety, housing, nightlife, how well the cities are for families and diversity of the city.

I did my own personal research to see how the website scored other cities around the Kalamazoo area and these are the results that I found. What do you think?
