Metro Detroit Native Joins Stone Temple Pilots

When Jeff Gutt, Michigan native and finalist for the show The X Factor made it to the finals, I wonder if he realized just how important that exposure would be.

Yesterday at the Troubadour in LA, STP took to the stage and official introduced Gutt as the new lead vocalist. This comes on the brink of the 2 year anniversary of original singer, Scott Weiland's unfortunate passing.

Gutt auditioned for the band last year after they publicly fired late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington. Gutt was a resident of both Algonac and Marine City. Last night was his first show with the band as they released a new single called "Meadow."
