Matt Giraud Talks Show Friday in Kalamzoo

Former American Idol contestant Matt Giraud, who finished fifth on season eight, was in the 103.3 KFR studio to talk about his Friday night performance in District Square at downtown Kalamazoo's Entertainment District!

If you hung around Monaco Bay in downtown Kalamazoo years back, you may remember seeing him as a dueling piano player!

In classic-Matt style, today in the studio, he was telling Tess and me how he didn't get much sleep last night, because last night, he was on the other side of the state playing a gig! The guy just doesn't stop! He was is Novi until 3 or 4 a.m., then had a 3-hour drive back to Kalamazoo to make it on the air with me and Tess by 8 a.m.

Talk about burning the candle at both ends — which actually just goes to prove that he really loves what he does. Some musicians just WANT TO PLAY! He is definitely one.

If I'm not in bed by 9 p.m. there's a good chance I'll call in sick the next day!

It was great having Matt in the studio, like always, and he is welcome back any time!
