There are so many different types and names of full moons and this one in particular is really cool.

In August it's called the Sturgeon Moon or sometimes referred to as the red moon. The Sturgeon name originated from the North American Fishing Tribes as that species of fish was plentiful in August, especially in the Great Lakes.

People sometimes call it the Red Moon because when the moon rises in August it appears to have a reddish tint.
