Only in Michigan...would long underwear and thick wool socks be a part of my outfit as a radio personality.

I got up a few minutes early to shovel snow this morning.  I knew it would be cold.  However, -6 degrees with a windchill of -27 degrees? Wow!

I've heard people say "cold is cold, once you're below freezing it's all the same."

Those people are wrong. There is a very big difference between 32 degrees and -6 degrees. When your nostrils freeze shut and your eyeballs become iceballs while shoveling your driveway, you've learned the difference.

According to the Weather Channel, greater Kalamaozo will warm up to zero by 11 a.m. today.  We have a Wind Chill Advisory for Kalamazoo until 11 a.m.  Followed by a Winter Weather Advisory for Kalamazoo from 11 a.m. today through 4 p.m. Friday.  We'll see up to 6 inches of snow, 45 mph wind gusts and 20 below zero wind chills expected.

Please be careful out there. Take this weather seriously.  But most importantly, follow me on instagram below. ;)

Anyone know how to thaw frozen eyeballs?
