Saturday, March 16

Green is the color of the day in downtown Kalamazoo as you celebrate  St. Patrick’s day with the 19th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Bring the kids and join park rangers for story time in front of the fireplace at the Schrier Park indoor facility for Reading Rangers. A ranger-led activity or hike will follow.

Visit Cornwell’s Turkeyville for their Community Bazaar. You’ll find all kinds of things from crafts to clothing from local churches and vendors.

Think you can recreate fabulous cupcake designs? Maybe you can!  Learn some basic decorating techniques and give it your best shot at Cupcake Decorating at the Three Rivers Library.

Monday, March 18

Ransom District Library’s Story Time is a great place for children to make friends and enhance their early literacy skills: Singing, playing, reading, writing and talking.

Tuesday, March 19

Sing, dance and play with friends at Tiny Tots at Otsego District Library. Times are split up into age groups of infant to one and two to three.

Enjoy some one on one time with your 18-36 month-old during Tot Time at Schoolcraft Library.  Learn songs and rhymes, identifying colors, counting and reading.

Wednesday, March 20

Stop by Art Club at Richland Community Library and let the creativity flow in this fun, free art program. They provide the art materials; you bring your brilliant creative mind.

Explore the various aspects of STEAM and investigate a different theme each month during STEAM Adventures at Comstock Township Library. For children in Kindergarten through fifth grade.

Attend the lap-sit, Mother Goose Storytime for infants to age two at Paw Paw District Library.

Saturday, March 23

The Original Spring Craft Show- Kalamazoo County Expo Center is back with 144 vendors. Free admission and parking.

Learn about Kalamazoo County Ready 4’s at the Family Fun Event at the Union Cabaret & Grille. Families can enjoy a morning of entertainment including face painting, magicians, crafts, mindfulness yoga, and a silent auction opportunity available to raise funds for the program.

Join the Crossroad Mall’s Spring Craft and Vendor Market. There will be crafters and vendors to help with your spring shopping needs.

Come and see LIVE LLAMAS. Visit the Otsego District Library for Llama, Llama, Fun for All ‘Ya event. Three llamas will be on hand for you to meet, pet and learn more about. Enjoy reading Llama books together, eating llama snacks, and making a llama craft.

Let your child get creative at Michael’s. Only $2 for ages three and up, or $5 for ages five and up (per child) reserves 30 minutes for a Gnome Sweet Gnome Project. Available at the Portage and Battle Creek locations.

Enjoy a family-friendly afternoon at the Gilmore Car Museum featuring the 1968 feature film, Herbie: The Love Bug Movie Matinee. Cost is $5 per person, children under 11 are free.

It’s WGVU’s Kids Day at the Air Zoo! Enjoy indoor amusement style rides, flight simulators, airplanes, spacecraft and family friendly entertainment. Tickets are only $5.

Tuesday, March 26

Ransom District Library’s Baby Story Time is open to preschoolers birth-age five. Kids will enjoy bouncing rhymes, fun songs, and interacting with others their age.

Thursday, March 28

Have storytime for the whole family at Family Storytime at the Kalamazoo Public Library Oshtemo Branch. Stories, songs, fingerplays, and fun activities designed for preschoolers from birth to age five.

Come for the pizza, stay for the fun at Pizza & Pages Teen & Tween Book Club at Otsego District Library. Share with the group what you are reading. Pizza and refreshments will be provided.

Friday, March 29

Learn about nature at the Wolf Lake Fish Hatchery Nature PreSchool Aged Program. Enjoy a guided nature program followed by a craft. Portions of this program will take place outside so be sure to dress for the weather.

Saturday, March 30

Choose from new and used items, antiques, handcrafted items and more at the Weekend Flea Market at Kalamazoo County Expo Center.
