Concert goers got two rock stars for the price of one!

Foreigner, the band that gave us hits like "Hot Blooded" (1981), "Urgent" (1981) and "I Want To Know What Love Is (1984) was performing at DTE Energy Music Theatre on Friday night when a local celebrity surprised the band on stage!

Michigan's  very own Kid Rock entered the stage unannounced, in the middle of the show, and started singing the chorus of the song. The Oakland Press reported...

"After Hansen hit a particularly high note towards the end of the song, Rock said, “I can’t sing as good as you, so I’ll do some rapping and that’s true,” breaking into a quick freestyle. He also pumped the DTE crowd that, “If you guys yell loud enough they’ll do another song,” but as it was just a minute before the venue’s curfew Foreigner demured, preferring to take a final bow, sans Rock."

Kid Rock who lives just North of the venue in Clarkston Michigan has not performed publicly in almost 2 years! The performer was sporting a black t-shirt, black jeans and a baseball cap backwards. During his appearance, he shared sips out of a red solo with Foreigners lead singer Kelly Hansen, and when the mic he was using stopped working Hansen grabbed another one for the rapper.

Back in 2015 Foreigner opened for Kid Rocks tour, so this group of Rock Stars have worked with one another before. And they did not disappoint the crowd!

If you missed the Foreigner concert featuring Kid Rock, you have another chance to see our Michigan boy perform. Kid Rock is slated to be the first performer at the new Little Ceasers Arena  opening on Sept. 12th
