On the verge of his new album Sweet Southern Sugar being released, Kid Rock is exploring new sounds and songs to add to his repertoire.

It seems that on the new album Kid Rock takes another shot at covering a Motown classic. Entitled Sugar Pie Honey Bunch, Rock puts his own personal twist on the 1965 hit song by the Four Tops "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)".

This would not be the first time Rock has covered a Motown artist. On Kid Rock's 2012 album Rebel Soul, he covered Ronnie Love's song "Detroit, Michigan." Rock has performed Sugar Pie Honey Bunch before on his 2013 tour, so this will be the first recorded version of the track.  Sweet Southern Sugar will be available this Friday.
