Kalamazoo’s “Westnedge Hill” Local Smash?

You are sure to recognize some of your favorite Kalamazoo spots in the "Westnedge Hill" music video.

My girlfriend's brother Jeremy sent me a link to this video soon after it was uploaded Tuesday. If I'm being honest, I can't count how many links to MP3s or music videos I receive on a weekly basis — most of them, not good.

However, this video surprised me. In the first 40 seconds of this video, you see Parkwood Upjohn Elementary School, Krill's Corner and Bell's Eccentric Cafe. And that's just the beginning of their tour through the Kalamazoo area. The video is simple but very well done.

I dig the sampled hook in this track, too.

The music group is Beat Brigade Productions ft. Gyro, Patience, and Matt OC - "Westnedge Hill" (produced by Joey Mapes). I'll have more info on the song and artist in the next day or so. For now, check out this video and let me know what you think.
