It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

What: Tree Lighting Ceremony and Santa's Workshop

When: This Friday  from 5:00 p.m. (Santa's Workshop) to 7:00 p.m. (Lighting Ceremony starts at 7)

Santa's Workshop is being sponsored by the Kalamazoo Valley Museum. Children can visit and create holiday decorations and gifts, and visitors can watch ice carving!

There will be a visit from the Southwest Michigan Husky Club, two reindeer, local food trucks to sample, and live music by Nashon Holloway & Bryan Blowers at 6:15 p.m.

The Tree Lighting Ceremony will begins at 7 p.m. and will end with the holiday "countdown" to Santa and Mrs. Claus and the mayor lighting up Bronson Park. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in the park to visit with children until 8 p.m.

The ceremony is FREE and open to the community. Canned good and non-perishables are encouraged and will benefit the Deacon's Conference and Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes. There will be hot chocolate available with donations being accepted to benefit the YWCA of Greater Kalamazoo's Domestic Violence Shelter.
