Growing up on the east side of the state during the height of CKY, Bam Margera, Tony Hawk video games, and the skateboarding boom in general, my brother and I spent a lot of time at the skate park. That's why I'm excited Kalamazoo is currently constructing their own concrete park located in the Davis Street Park. The city of Kalamazoo recently posted two pictures on their Instagram showing the progress they've already made with the caption:

Pieces of the skate plaza were installed at Davis Street Park earlier this week. Another Kzoo Parks project that will be completed this year! #kalamazoo#parks#skateboardingisfun#skate

This is gonna make a great addition to the park and you can bet I'm gonna be there when it opens to see if I can still Ollie without tearing the cartilage in my knee. Always remember to wear your pads and helmet. Have a blast!
