Come help homeless Kalamazoo teens and have some fun at the Firefly 5K

Before this summer ends, head out and enjoy an evening well helping to support a great cause. The Ark Services for Youth is having a 5K run on August 18th, starting at 8 pm.

Dress up as a firefly, wear glowing clothes, and of glow sticks are always welcome. In fact, be prepared to enter a costume contest.

If you don't run that's ok, walkers and joggers are welcome as well!

The Ark Services for Youth provides short-term crisis intervention and 24/7/365 shelter to runaway youth, homeless youth, and families in crisis. Each year, over 220 youth receive shelter and support services with the goal of family reunification. Over 7,000 youth receive crisis intervention or community education services. Staff also provide in-home case management services to help families in crisis. Since 1977, the Ark Shelter has been a safe harbor and caring community for trafficked youth and LGBTQ youth
